A mental health companion built for daily support, emotional tracking, and guided therapy.
A case study in building trust-first, stigma-free wellness experiences for users managing anxiety, burnout, and emotional health. Mental health platforms often suffer from one of two extremes: They’re either too clinical, intimidating for casual users, or too casual lacking the depth needed for meaningful impact.
Our Objective: A product that felt safe, human, and science-backed that could support users through tough days and long-term journeys while also offering engagement tools for therapists and care providers
Core Modules
We partnered to build, a daily-use app blending self-care, mood tracking, and therapy workflows in one calming interface.
- Mood Journal: Simple daily logs with emojis, free text, and tags to track trends over time
- Cognitive Pattern Tracker: Identify thought distortions using CBT-informed prompts
- Audio & Breathwork Library: Curated mental resets, sleep tracks, and focus guides
- Therapist Sync: Share mood data and notes securely with a care provider
- Progress View: Weekly reflection dashboards, mood-over-time graphs, session recaps
- Push Nudges: Gentle, AI-personalised affirmations and reminders to check in
We used emotion mapping, soft UI gradients, and microcopy therapy to make every interaction feel like a reassuring presence and not another task.
UX Decisions that mattered
- Trust-First UX: No mandatory signups upfront, anonymity by default
- Tone of Voice: Avoided clinical jargon; leaned into warm, validating copy
- Micro-feedback Loops: Each completed action rewarded with calming visual cues or affirming text
- Dark Mode First: Most users check in at night; we designed for softness and eye ease
- Emergency Mode: Quick-access “Panic Kit” for grounding techniques in high-anxiety moments
